Wonderland Trail Journal 2023
I made this sketchbook to bring backpacking on the Wonderland Trail around Mount Rainier in 2023. It is filled with alternating pages of hot and cold press 100% cotton 300 gsm paper. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short for medical reasons, so there are only a few completed pages.
I sketched most of this page right before the trip started.

Sketched in camp. The smoke began rolling in this day and it was the first day I experienced tooth pain that would force us stop halfway around.
We spent a lot of time picking berries on this part of the trip.
I was in considerable pain by this point, and the smoke was much worse.
I sketched the waterfall during a lunch break on trail. I was starting to worry about my health by this point and began making plans to be picked up.
